Let’s Talk Month in October

Let's Talk Month is a national public education campaign celebrated in October and coordinated by Advocates for Youth. Let's Talk Month is an opportunity for community agencies, religious institutions, businesses, schools, media, parent groups and health providers to plan programs and activities which encourage parent/child communication about sexuality. Mybodymyfuture.com provides plenty of resources that can help you when talking to your kids about sex. Be sure to check our blog and the rest of the website for more tips on how to talk to your kids.

Teaching Teens Outstanding Parenting Skills (TTOPS)

Real talk—
get vaccinated.

Getting routine shots from your doctor is never fun, but getting HPV is worse.

Protect yourself by getting vaccinated. The HPV Vaccine is cancer prevention. Ask your doctor about what you can do to stay safe, or call 865-215-5000 to schedule a vaccination appointment at the Health Department.
